Excellent story. I would not have read if I had known it wasn't a stand-alone, but it is a great mafia story. Murder, control, child manipulation.

This is book two in the Collateral Damage series and wraps up Gabriela and Stefan's story. All Gabriela's life she has just been a pawn and now her father has sold her off the Stefan Sabbioni so she can be his pawn. Or maybe even Collateral Damage in his quest to bring her father down. This is a great story and I loved it.

So amazing... great characters and writing! I didn't want to stop reading. This story was fabulous, so action packed and perfect.Outstanding characters that made it all so real. I loved it!

How many time did Rafa have to betray them before they realized he wasn’t to be trusted. I didn’t expect him to choose the side he did in the end .

Good dark romance , I didn’t want to put it down . Can’t wait to read the next one .

This has everything it should. A spirited Mafia Princess, a heartless Mafia Prince. Violence, and anger and a glimpse of hope. I can’t wait to start the next book.

This book was so well written that I couldn't put it down! I fell in love with the characters and this author and immediately started book 2 and have finished it as well! Adding more of her books to my Library to read!

I don't know what it is about this genre, but it gets me every time. I loved Stefan and Gabriela's story (even though I thought Gabriella was a bit of a spoiled brat). I loved the tension between them and the story was just great. In the beginning, I was a little confused about the names of Stefan's father and Gabriela's brother since they were identical to other character's names but I was able to figure out who was who. I really hope we get Rafa's story at some point.

Gabriel Marchese is in the Mafia. His 16 year old daughter Gabriela is visited in her bedroom on her 16th birthday by Stefan Sabbioni. He gives her a bloody necklace and tells her to give her father a message. The message is Stefan will be back to take what is his. 2 years later, Gabriela is 18 and tries to escape from her father’s house because he is trying to force her to marry into the Irish mob to make the alliance stronger. She is captured and brought back to her father’s house.Gabriel has a new plan. He is forcing Gabriela to sign papers that she will marry Stefan Sabbioni. Gabriela knows that Stefan is holding something big over her father’s head for him to cancel the other marriage contract and set up this new one. Stefan is basically claiming Gabriela for himself.What is Stefan holding over Gabriel Marchese’s head? Are Stefan and Gabriela all business or are they secretly attracted to each other? Will they end up married?

This is a very exciting book. Plenty of action and drama. It is emotion filled and so realistic. I feel Gabriela is easy to be disliked. She just turned 18 and is so immature it really spoils the story. I feel I would have enjoyed it more if she was not a brat 100% of the time. I loved the story! Couldn’t put it down! Wish they had come together sooner and the misunderstandings cleared, but still a great story and the ending was crazy and yet happy!

Really tried to like Gabbi, but she was just an annoying little brat. I feel she's to young for the book. Stefan is a mafia Don who is arranged to marry his enemy only daughter. All the dislike toward her father, she still does the ultimate betrayal. Enjoyed Stefan and his cousin Ends in a cliff hanger, I'm on the fence on buying it.I voluntarily reviewed this advance reader copy of this book

Mafia Romance at the finest and an absolutely must read! I couldn't put this book down. Author knows always how to keep her readers on toes, from the beginning until the last page. Highly recommend title.

While I'm not generally a fan of duets, I really enjoyed this book and would rate it 4.5. Gabriela's father is a cold, ruthless mafia kingpin who's arranged her marriage to the son of an Irish mob boss. Resisting her destiny, she tries to break away only to be dragged back and surprisingly placed in the hands of Stefan, the head of a Sicilian crime family. Taken away from her home and soon to be married to a new enemy, secrets are around every corner as her new fiancé has his own score to settle with her family. Ghosts of the past are aplenty with Gabriela not knowing who is friend and who is foe as she's traded from one desperate situation to another.There was a lot to like for me in this book, even though I'm not a fan of a young heroine (the age different is 18/29 or so) and the whole arranged marriage and 'we're enemies but he's really good looking' can irk me. It was done well here and I liked the author's take on it with there still being a good amount of animosity scattered throughout the book. And while there was great chemistry, there isn't an abundance of smexy times and I think this made a better read, too. Gabriela was young, but she wasn't too stupid to live as you find in a lot of books with similar tropes. I really liked her character and her more realistic take on her situation. Stefan stole the show for me, however, and was a great male lead that went from caring to cold depending on the weather, with the author still managing to make him likeable. I loved how she made him grin, too - generally the male leads in mafia tropes are all stone-faced for most of the book. Quick trigger warning - there is a small amount of spanking for punishment in this book, FYI.There were a few editing issues (not glaring ones, however) and a tiny bit of other woman jealousy (which is not my thing at all), but this wasn't a big issue. There was a good amount of intrigue with the reader getting most of the plot clues but with a few surprises thrown in for good measure..

At 1st, I downloaded the 1st book on a whim. Dark romance mafia story, as a Cillian descendent myself, I thought sure! Let's see.Holy mother of God it took me by surprise!I will say, this is not for all romance readers, as it is dark at times and can induce some triggers, BUT remember this is a mafia story, and I feel the author did well in keeping to that. There are twists you think ur ready for but your not! Then some satisfying predictability to keep ya strung along and I loved it! 😍

I really liked Stefan and Gabriela's story. Strong alpha male, hard headed, almost alpha female. I would highly recommend this duet if you like arranged marriage, mafia stories.

Female lead was annoying with her bad decisions and immature behavior. Male lead was likeable after he made up his mind and stuck with a decision. But alas these are staples in the romance genre. Little (too little) adult material in first book. Ends with a cliffhanger so buy both books at once.

What a tale spin of lies, mistrust, backstabbing & destruction. No one is safe, nor can anyone be trusted. This book start to show Stefan softer size and according to everyone Stefan has become weak. Little does everyone know in his weakness he starts to show is his strength the love and push and pull he has for his wife.I guess my father was right. I’m not a very smart girl. This is where Gabby shows age, her innocence & naivety. She trust everyone and that very thing is what gets her in trouble and a pawn for Stefan. The betrayal, twist and turns in this book keeps you on the edge of your seat. Who will betray who and how far will everyone go for power they try and steal away from the first born Sabbioni.Stefan is a powerful man. He doesn’t play nice, not if you’re his enemy. But I’ve learned one thing about my husband. He takes care of what’s his. And I am his.

Mafia romance at its best with a twist. Very well written and I loved the characters. Once I started reading, I could not put it down!

Great characters and author is able to bring them to life and allow you to sympathize/empathize. Story line is smooth and intriguing.

I read a dissenting review and wondered if I would like it. Must say the two book series was well written and kept me so engrossed that I finished both books in less than 2 days. You will like the characters .....but poor Rafe...I want him to receive a HEA...jfk

I couldn't keep up with the twists and turns. It was an amazing story and my favorite of Author Knight's this far. It was just do emotional, making it very memorable.
